I think I got a different car
By zebulun | on Saturday, July 20, 2019
I never read movie reviews but I do read vehicle ones. I know I haven't many miles but quite a few here do have Outlander sports with many many miles. My concern is with the reviews. I traded a 2011 Kia Soul. Since it was the beginning of the model it was inexpensive, but a great car almost 90,000miles and still solid. I found a great deal on the Outlander as they gave me $1000 more than the KBB for my scratched and dented Kia. I had about 30 mile drive home on a 65 mph country road. After reading the "expert" reviews and driving this car I had no idea which car they had been driving. Everything about the car is quality, the appearance and function are superb. I am 72 have owned or driven everything from a 1953 Plymouth, MGA 1500, Vanden Plas V12 Jag, Subaru Forrester XT Turbo.....etc. I have owned 60+ motorbikes, have 5 at present most will do 0-60 in 3+ seconds so I am acquainted with vehicles and performance. This Outlander is nothing like the "professionals" tried to tell me. Very pleased.… - 5.0
Great Value Under Rated By KBB

Last month we got a 2019 Outlander sport ES. It is very comfortable and the fit and finish are excellent. So far it has been a very reliable vehicle. My opinions are MUCH different than KBB. I have no idea why they give this Mitsubishi a so-so rating. My outlander Sports ride is smooth, the seats are comfortable & we find it easy to drive with no blind spots thanks in part to the large side-view mirrors. The radio & climate control and 7-inch touchscreen with back -up camera are logically placed and the dash has a nice look and feel to it. The seats are also very comfortable. we bought the 5-speed manual because the CVT"S transmissions are known for the issues of funny shifting and noise. it is not just Mitsubishi that has this issue with CVT"s. Mitsubishi stands behind what they built for 5/60 -10/100,000, none of the others accept Kia/Hyundai and VW offer such a great warranty. and we paid THOUSANDS less than a similarly equipped Toyota, Kia, GM or VW. I highly recommend taking look at the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. Lastly, we are happy the Outlander Sports design has not changed much since 2011. sure, that may make it kind of lackluster to some. but, you will be able to get parts easily if needed should you need body panels or mechanical parts Thanks in part to the amount of time the Outlander Sport has been around. The Outlander Sport is reasonably priced, has a great warranty, comfortable, reliable and looks great and has plenty of pep for our needs. with the 5-speed manual, we don't have transmission issues.it is very easy to shift & It cruises along on the freeway at 70-75 mph no problem and provides fuel economy so far at 31 MPG. Overall, we are very happy with our Outlander Sport. The price was reasonable and what you get for the money is a great quality vehicle.… - 5.0
great looking cuv!

I have owned about a dozen cars over the years, including two of the original SUVs, a 1975 International Scout II and a 1980 Ford Bronco. I dont plan to go off road, but the 4WD is handy in Illinois winters, it handles well in wet/icy conditions. The exterior dimensions are well balanced. Not to long, width adequate and height is just right. The exterior styling is stunning from front to rear. I didnt need a larger vehicle, I dont do any major hauling, but with roof rails, it can easily handle larger items such as dining tables or bedroom sets. The Sport performs as good as any mid level sedan, the 2.4L has very good acceleration and torque, so highway merging is not a problem. Ride comfort is no different either, but smooth and quiet as can be expected at this price. Interior materials remain basic, dashboard layout is functional, although a bit bland looking. Where the Sport rocks is the Rockford Fosgate navigation system and 710 watt system with a 10 built in subwoofer, which sounds awesome at lower volumes, but never used to wake up the neighborhood. This trim level has all the expected options, power everything, heated leather, moon roof with mood lighting, etc. Before I purchased, I read many the reviews, They were less than complimentary. I can say as an owner for 18 mos that those reviews are unfounded. It is not expected to compare to upper end vehicles. It performs well on suburban and highway roads. How many of us plan to go off road or cruise European mountainous winding roads?…
